Choosing a Solar Company in Adelaide
Check accreditation properly. Installer accreditation moved from the Clean Energy Council to Solar Accreditation Australia (SAA) in 2024, and reputable retailers are NETCC approved sellers. Ask who does the install. The best firms employ their own electricians. If subcontractors are used in outer areas, ask how workmanship claims are handled.
Understand SA Power Networks flexible exports. New SA connections get a low static export limit by default, with much higher limits if your inverter supports dynamic exports. Make sure the quote specifies a flexible-export-capable inverter and who handles the application.
Take batteries seriously here. SA’s high grid prices and the Cheaper Home Batteries Program (a roughly 30 per cent upfront discount since July 2025) make storage stack up faster in Adelaide than almost anywhere. Compare warranties, not just prices. Workmanship warranties here range from 10 years to an advertised 30, but the number only matters if the company survives and answers the phone.
